RUBY DARR - ASSOCIATE BROKER'S BIO
York County has been my home since 1947. I have always loved sales and have been selling Real Estate since 1987. Because I wanted to serve my customers with excellence, I started taking classes and obtained my Brokers license in 1995. Since then I have completed the requirements and received my ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute), and SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designations. I found the best way to serve our customers is with complete FOCUS. Therefore, I formed a team of like professionals to give our customers full representation. I have taken the leadership role of the team, heading the listing side of the business. My husband, Jeff, joined the team to help with listings. Jeff has many years of sales experience, which included a VP of Sales and Marketing position for a national company. Newest to join the team is Bobbi Hughes, who also holds her ABR designation. Bobbi is focusing on the buyer needs. We also have a great staff. Joyce McWilliams has been with the team since 2003. She works as the Transaction Coordinator for the team. We are also very fortunate to have Jill Chronister who manages our Website and produces our visual tours. So you can see the team is everyone working toward great customer service. I also hired a business coach (Buffini and Company) in 2004 to keep our level of service #1. We work by referral and we are never too busy for you or your referrals. |

I am the father of two married sons (Kevin and Jason) and married to Ruby for more than 41 years. I have been involved with my wife in the Real Estate business since 1999, which is when I became a licensed Realtor. Prior to my involvement in Real Estate, I was a corporate sales executive for more than 30 years with a national corporation. My responsibility on the team is primarily as a listing agent (working with sellers) with some involvement with buyers. I enjoy working with people, helping them achieve their Real Estate needs. |

Working With An Agent >CRS and GRI
CRS, which stands for Certified Residential Specialist, is a designation that recognizes a high level of professional accomplishments in real estate experience and education. The Residential Sales Council grants the CRS designation only to the most outstanding sales associates in the residential sales field. Besides the completion of a rigorous course of study, the candidate must be able to demonstrate 75 successful transactions or average sales of $1 million per year of experience. Only 4% of all real estate agents are awarded the CRS designation.
GRI stands for Graduate, REALTOR Institute. The REALTOR Institute offers a series of 90 hours of required and elective courses conducted by the local Board or Association of REALTORS. These courses cover all areas of real estate -- residential, investment, construction and mortgage. The GRI designation is a prerequisite of many specialized courses in the REALTOR organization.
